This semi-detached house has been previously extended at the back but those additions were no longer working for our client.

We designed a new extension that fills in the side passage and extending out into the garden.

This creates a lovely open plan space. Steels are left exposed, clearly showing how it connects to the original period house.

Skylights above what was the passage and a sliding glass wall flood this room with light and connect it to the outside.

Clever use of space also allows for a dedicated utility area and a downstairs toilet.
